Genuine hands thinner and have a bit of curvature, ZF at this point engraved techniques quite strong, are basically the same axis with the genuine. #1. Just in time for Christmas 2021, I received my new Big Pilot from Lucy. The workmanship on this rep is just great, looks as solid as it feels (once you throw away the original strap). From what I understand, they are identical, except that the 5009 has the older 51111 movement with a single barrel and 21600 BPH. The 5010 has the newer 52010 caliber with twin barrels and 28,800 BPH. In the abstract, I prefer slower beat movements, despite the accuracy price to pay and more obvious second hand jumps.

My watch of choice: the IWC Big Pilot Le Petite Prince LE, Ref#: 5009-08. I am going to see the watch live in the flesh this week. Based on my previous in-person views of the Big Pilot (5009-01), I intend on being impressed. The LE Le Petite Prince fills two voids in my collection - Pilot and blue dial. My two most significant desires. I have the newest 5009-12. I think it’s a good mix between the original 5002 and the 5004. And with the 9 back on the dial, it offers a more balanced design IMO. I’ve pulled the trigger with Angus at PureTime on a ZF Big Pilot ref IW500901. I’ve owned the gen 5004 and owned and sold a gen 5009. Looking at this watch it’s (to me) 99.8% on point with the gen. However the obvious flaws are: 1. strap and deployment clasp (which I’ve ordered genuine ones of each) and 2. To celebrate my return I m on market for an IWC BIG PILOT (5004 or 5009). . tilo and Tonnymoderator like this. favorite 2 link Tilo. Master . Welcome back Dimitris! Great to have you here again! I'd vote for the 5009 because it has a 9 in the reference number (and on the dial as well ;-) ) How about a 5002? .
